Gracie Jiu Jitsu – also known as Brazilan Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) – is universally regarded as one of the most effective martial arts for self defence. It is a style of which can be mastered by people of all ages and fitness levels. BJJ’s driving principle is that a smaller, weaker person using proper technique like leverage, joint-locks and chokeholds can successfully defeat a bigger, stronger opponent.

Competing is completely optional for any student, but for those looking to test themselves, a number of our students compete regularly in Grappling Tournaments and Mixed Martial Arts events (gi and no-gi). Our student base includes many Jiu Jitsu champions and professional Mixed Martial Arts fighters.

Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the official hand-to-hand combat system of the United States Military and law enforcement agencies all around the world. Founded on easy and instinctive movements, this reality-based method is intended to transmit practical self-defence in the shortest doable time. Hi everyone, I am very happy about our performance today at Abu Dhabi Pro Australasia Trials, not only the fighter, but also the support, passion and friendship shown during the event. I believe we are on the right direction and very soon Gracie Sydney Association will be qualifying many competitors for the World Professional Jiu Jitsu, lets keep our hard training, get more experience and the results will come up naturally.
